Damn. The torque is unreal. The silence is also strange.

Awesome! It's like a severely dangerously awesome Prius right?

haha pretty much! The complete lack of a powerband is so strange. Makes an L98 seem like an F20C!

Silent death from behind?

You could probably really lose control pretty easily! No engine noise, shifting gears, or anything to let you know to back off.

Yeah, I totally can see that happening.
Especially for those pesky pedestrians who don't look before crossing.
Squish!

Personally, for an outrageous torque experience, give me a built Caddy 500 ci and some witchcraft of a CVT that can handle the torque.

Cool! Haven't driven the Roadster, but I've driven a couple of the Model S, and man...those things move like a much smaller car.
And it's so deceptive, because they're so quiet! No drama, just...acceleration.

strangest thing about tesla cars is the sound. I once raced a plane in a model S P85+ and the only thing that creeped me out rocketing to 130 on a taxiway was the slight electronic whine coupled with nothing but wind noise. Eerie, but cool! It's "the future" lol
